What Constitutes a Large Parcel?
A large parcel typically refers to shipments that exceed standard courier size or weight limits. They require special handling or surface transportation. Your parcel will be considered large if it weighs above 15 kgs, exceeds dimensions such as 45–50 cm in length or has a high volumetric weight.
These shipments often include bulk orders, heavy boxes, equipment, furniture pieces, inventory shipments and B2B consignments.
Large parcels are usually shipped via surface cargo, PTL (Part Truck Load) or LTL (Less Than Truck Load) services instead of regular express parcel services.

How to Weigh and Measure a Large Parcel
1. Use a weighing scale to measure the actual weight of the packed parcel, including packaging material.
2. Measure length, width and height of the packed box in centimetres using a measuring tape.
3. Calculate the shipping weight using volumetric weight (L × W × H (in cms) / 4500). The higher of actual or volumetric weight is considered for shipping.
